Industry Unites at Road Freight NSW Conference and Awards 2025

The 2025 Road Freight NSW (RFNSW) Conference and Awards brought together leaders and stakeholders from across the road freight sector for a dynamic day of collaboration, insight, and celebration in Sydney. The event focused on addressing shared industry challenges and exploring emerging opportunities, with discussions centred around safety and sustainability, technology adoption, workforce development, innovation, and the evolving policy landscape.
Camilla Elmes, Industry Engagement Manager for Transport and Logistics, attended the event and reflected on the importance of promoting career pathways within the sector:
“There was a strong focus on the need to attract younger workers and engage school students in meaningful ways. It reinforces the value of ISA’s Transport & Logistics Career Information project, which is designed to support attraction and retention across the industry,” said Camilla.
Her comments echoed key findings from the 2025 Transport and Logistics Workforce Plan, which highlights the urgent need to build a future-ready workforce capable of meeting the demands of a rapidly evolving freight environment.
The conference also underscored the importance of collaboration between government and industry, with renewed commitments to reform and workforce development, leaving attendees optimistic about the road ahead.
The day concluded with the annual NSW Freight Industry Awards, recognising and celebrating individuals and organisations driving positive change across the sector. Congratulations to all award winners for their outstanding contributions.
